The prophet was told to digest the message himself before he shared it with others. Until the Word is part of you, until it’s been absorbed into your own life, it won’t come out with power or authority, and it won’t produce lasting fruit. Jesus said out of “his innermost being shall flow rivers of living water” (John 7:38).
