JOHN 12:24, NIV Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the, ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds.
Self-seeking, se1lf-serving, self-centered-these words describe somebody: US! While we remain in this condition, we’re prone to get depressed, in1secure, fearful, defensive, or a lot of other negative things. So. what’s the answer? DIE! Imagine how that sounds to someone who has spent most of his life searching for a bigger· house. a better car, more money, or approval, and all the other things we pursue. Listen to the Word: ”He who has died [to self] is freed from sin” (Romans 6:7, NASB). Sin appeals to your flesh. but when your flesh is crucified, you suddenly come to life spiritually and begin to walk on a new level of victory. The secret is. You have to die daily (see 1 Corinthians 15:31).
Jesus said, ”Except a kernel of wheat dies, it abides alone.” But if it dies, it becomes productive. Loneliness is not the absence of affection, but the absence of direction. Find a cause bigger than yourself and give your life to it! Support a missionary; become i1nvolved in a ministry at church; do something that’s not for you-and watch what happensl Start today, and get ready to discover a joy you’ve, never known.
