People judge by outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart. 1 Samuel 16:7, NLT

When God was looking for a new king to rule over Israel, He told His prophet, Samuel, “the Lord doesn’t see things the way you see them. People judge by outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart (1 Samuel 16:7).

In other words, God knows your motives. You can’t fool Him or pretend to be someone you’re not. God sees who you truly are on the inside. When you come to Him in humility-devoid of self-righteousness and self-reliance–He hears you.

David wrote: “You will not reject a broken and repentant heart, 0 God (Psalm 51: 17). The Message puts it this way:

“Going through the motions doesn’t please You, a flawless performance is nothing to You. I learned God-worship when my pride was shattered. Heart-shattered lives ready for love don’t for a moment escape God’s notice.”

God sees everything. There’s nothing you can hide from Him. That’s why it is easy to feel unworthy of God’s blessing and favor. The Phoenician woman cried out to God for her daughter. And when Jesus asked her why? She responded that even the dogs get the crumbs from the master’s table. She knew that even a crumb of God’s power was more than enough for a miracle. Today, child of God, let the Lord move and watch a miracle come true. Let the Lord move, and he will see you through. Perhaps today is the day for your miracle.
