“May your hearts be fully committed to the Lord “1 Kings 8:61

Let me ask you an important question: How important is commitment to you? Are you someone who values loyalty and follow-through? When things get tough, are you in the habit of standing firm? Or do you have a tendency to compromise or even quit? More specifically, how committed are you to the Lord? The Bible says,” … may your hearts be fully committed to the Lord our God (1 Kings 8:61 ). Our world today places little value on commitment. You can see it in how people live their lives in failing family commitments, church attendance, and financial responsibility … just to mention a few. Commitment requires hard work.

Pat Riley, former head coach of the L.A. Lakers basketball team, made this comment in his book entitled Show Time:

Few people realize that beneath the surface glitter, the players bring a fanatical depth of preparation to every game. Their apparently spontaneous creativity an effortless innovation is actually the product of hundreds of hours of hard practice sessions. With that devotion to hard work, the Lakers have made a covenant with each other to put aside selfishness so that the team can achieve its goals, saying, “Whatever it takes for the team to win, I’ll do it.”

There is no limit to what we can accomplish at Frontline if we will make our commitment and service to the Lord a priority. Yes, it will be hard work, but the benefits are out of this world!
