“Is it well with thee? Is it well with thy husband? Is it well with the child? And she answered, It is well.” 2 Kings 4:26

In the hour of need, Elisha asked this woman a question we must all face. Listen: Mother, is it well with thee? Are you serving the Lord? Are you teaching your children the Word? I owe so much to my mother. She didn’t send us to church, she took us. She didn’t preach it, she lived it.

Father, is it well with thee? Are your footsteps leading your children to heaven or to hell? Time will fly, and you won’t have another chance to teach and mold them for God. Lot sacrificed his kids for his career, but Abraham saved his because he put God first. How about you?

Son or daughter, is it well with thee? Listen: “Sin, when it is finished, brings forth death” (James 1 :15, KJV). Before you decide to take the trip, please check the destination. Drugs may be fun today, but what happens when you can’t quit? You can have an intimate rendezvous in 20 minutes, but raising the child will take you 20 years. Young person, God has a destiny for you, and the most important thing in your life today is finding it and filling it. Is it well with thee?
