“Seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matthew 6:33

Have you become absorbed with the things that Jesus told you not to? Things like having enough to eat, or having clothes to wear, or having a home to live in. Over the last ten years a rash of books and CD’s about how to get your needs met have flooded the Christian market. Don’t get me wrong. Your heavenly Father knows exactly what you need, and He has promised that if you will put His Kingdom first, all the things you need will be added unto you.

But listen to Hebrews 11:3 – “Through FAITH we understand”; Hebrews 11:6, “Without FAITH it is impossible to please Him”; Hebrews 11:33, “Who through FAITH, subdued kingdoms.” If language means anything, then these verses mean that God didn’t give us faith just to get temporal things, but to first get UNDERSTANDING, then to PLEASE HIM, then to SUBDUE KINGDOMS. The wonderful thing is, when we place the needs of God’s Kingdom first, He makes sure we have everything we need. Child of God, are you putting things before Him? Think about it prayerfully today.
