HE STAGGERED NOT AT THE PROMISE OF GOD THROUGH UNBELIEF; BUT WAS STRONG IN FAITH, GIVING GLORY TO GOD ROMANS 4:20

It’s tough to have faith when you’re sick in body or your purse is empty and you can’t make ends meet. Yet those are the very times when you need faith the most. Abraham did something to strengthen his faith, and so must you. Jude says “Building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost” (Jude 1:20). When we pray in the Spirit, we are built up and strengthened. A car kept in a garage will never get you where you want to go. You’ve got to use it, and it’s the same with praying in the Holy Spirit.

Have you been in the Word lately? If I were your doctor and you wouldn’t take my prescription, I’d tell you how sick you really were, and before I was through you’d gulp down the medicine. Solomon said, “Those who discover these words live, really live; body and soul, they are bursting with health” (Proverbs 4:12, TM). Finally, you’ll note that Abraham praised God for the blessing before it even happened. This is where praise will give birth to faith, strengthen faith, sustain faith, and keep you focused on the source of all your blessings. Now that you know this, take some time today and begin to praise the Lord for what you believe He’s going to do in your Iife.
