13 And you shall seek me, and find me, when you search for me with all your heart. – Jeremiah 29:13, KJV
Let me ask: How often do you pray? Do you pray even five minutes a day? If so, that’s less than one-half percent of your waking hours. During prohibition, Congress ruled that anything that contained less than one-half percent alcohol was ”non-intoxicating.” That means you can’t feel the effects-it doesn’t change your perception. It doesn’t change the way you walk and talk! You ask, ”How long should I pray? The answer is, pray until you feel the effect-until it changes your perception, until you walk and talk differently.
Does your time with God change your perception and build your faith? It should! God wants to connect with you. He desires to have a personal relationship with you. And when it seems that He is silent and the request has been delayed, keep seeking. God spoke through His prophet Jeremiah and gave us this Word: 13And you shall seek me, and find me, when you search for me with all your heart.
