“My God shall supply all your needs.” Philippians 4:19

God is not poor! Listen, “The silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine, saith the Lord” (Haggai 2:8). Jesus told Peter where to find the money to pay their taxes. He took a boy’s lunch and turned it into a feast for 5,000. This is your God we’re talking about!

In the middle of the biggest depression ever to hit the nation of Israel, God told Elijah, “Turn eastward, and hide yourself by the brook … I have commanded the ravens to feed you there” (I Kings 17:3-4). God’s blessings are not connected to anyone’s economy. Have you noticed that God commanded everything He created to multiply”? Listen: “Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed” (Genesis 1 :11). Why seed? Because anybody can count the seeds in an apple, but only God can count the apples in a seed. One apple can feed one person, but the five seeds in that apple could produce five trees, each generating many bushels, and feed scores of people. Are you getting the idea? The Kingdom of God is all about “sowing and reaping.” The Bible says God only gives seed to “sowers”-not hoarders (2 Corinthians 9:10). When you withhold, you violate God’s law and your source dries up. It’s consecutive sowing that guarantees consecutive reaping. God is your source!
